TEAMWORK 4-H HOMESCHOOL GROUP

Teamwork 4-H is a primarily homeschooled, Christian 4-H group that has been chartered for two years.

Presently, our club's main project areas are cooking/nutrition, sewing, photography, and raising an animal for LIFE fair. There are a multitude of other project options; all we need is an interest and a project leader. We need a leader for the Clover Kids group (ages 5-8).

HOMESCHOOL SCIENCE AND HISTORY FAIR APRIL 28, 2006

Dominic Vallone and Heather Smith are Co-chairs of this years fair. The date is Friday April 28, 2006, and the location is the science building at TAMIU from 4:00- 6:00 pm. The fair is competative, and is open to all Webb Co. homeschooled kids from 5-18 years of age. There are grade catagories based on the amount of entries. There are ribbons for participants, and trophies for the outstanding entries. This was our second year for this event, and we expect to improve, and expand next year.

SOCCER CLINICS

Soccer clinics are back!!

Soccer clinics are Wednesdays from 1:00- 2:00 p.m., and will proceedd until the late spring. There will be email notice as to when the semester sessions stop. c Hope to see you there.

ACHIEVEMENT TESTING

IOWA Basic Skills Test

Grades 1st - 12th

The 2005-06 testing is being planned, and next years testing will be discussed at the Providence meetings. For more information contact wandascummings@aol.com

FIELD TRIPS

The first field trip of the year has been scheduled for Wednesday Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the TAMIU Planetarium. There will be a kid oriented film, and then a tour of the campus. This is a private showing for our group, and Adults are $4 children $2. The subsequent trips will be discussed at our first meeting on Sept. 20.

MOM'S NIGHT OUT

Providence home school moms get together on the 4th Thursday of each month. The locations will vary, and the times are in the evening. Get on the email list to receive the regular details.
