FIELD TRIPS
We have had a great year of field trips. These included the planetarium, airport, fire fighter training facility, environmental center at LCC, even the assembly line at Krispy Kreme donughts.
YEARBOOK
The yearbook is ins its planning stages and will be discussed in upcoming providence meetings.
L.I.S.D. SELLS SURPLUS FURNITURE
Laredo Ind. School Distric offers an opportunity to buy surplus school room furniture at very low prices. This is open to the public. The warehouse is located at 2001 Scott Street. Sale dates are advertised in the Laredo Morning Times and are on Thursdays from 12:00-4:00. A few examples of things available to buy are: kids desks, chairs, bookshelves, filing cabinets, computers etc.
TAMIU SUMMER SOCCER CAMP
Ages 5-16 has developed into a weekly soccer clinic on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m. In the summer TAMIU has been hosting a more formal soccer clinic.
CURRICULUM HELP!
*Curriculum help - We have created a resource for those who have questions about different curriculums. It is available at the providence meetings. This will be a great tool for new homeschoolers! For more information about who to connect with to ask questions about different curriculums contact Janie Valdez

Providence Homeschool Association is a Laredo, Texas based homeschooling network that exists to be a resource for equipping homeschool families in South Texas. Our mission is to share homeschooling experiences, while providing encouragement and educational resources to our families. There are no membership requirements or dues. Our existence relies on dedicated members who are willing to invest our time and energy to the education of our children.
